Beaucage Cabinets

How much time is realistic to plan for when you want a custom kitchen?

Here are the general timelines you need to know to get an overall sense of the duration of your project and to help you plan better…

First, you need to schedule an initial meeting in the showroom with a kitchen designer to discuss the work you want to undertake, the desired style, and the various materials available according to your budget. Then, 1 to 2 weeks later, a second meeting will be required for the presentation of the new concept created using 3D software and for providing the project estimate. Do you like the design and decide to move forward? A technician will visit your home to take the actual measurements of the space to create the production plans. Typically, you can approve these plans and address any minor details within 2 weeks at most. The manufacturing of your cabinets will then begin in our factory.

Additionally, be aware that when talking about a complete kitchen renovation—meaning reconfiguring the space, replacing cabinets and flooring, purchasing new appliances, or modifying plumbing and electrical work—the entire process can take up to 2 months. During this time, it is our job to monitor the progress of the work to ensure everything is ready for our team’s installation. For standard kitchen projects entrusted to a general contractor, the timeline is usually 3 to 6 weeks. Once your kitchen cabinets are ready, our installation team will take over to complete the installation!

Please note that the busiest time of year for requests is generally from March to October. It’s also important to know that manufacturing timelines vary depending on the material and demand. Typically, 20 to 35 business days should be expected. Mark your calendars!
